VONO picks Magicmakers, sales propels ad spend
After a lapse of 3 years, makers of VONO mattress Slumberland re-awarded Magicmakers the VONO business which the agency had helped build into a Super Brand between 2000 - 2005. The creative agency swiftly repaid the faith of Slumberland with a bold campaign that made a huge and immediate impact in the Malaysian market. Aimed at the Chinese middle class, the target audience instantly related to the traditional village "medicine man" demo, which cemented the credibility and relevance of VONO's back care brand positioning. Though Slumberland has declined to comment on sales figures, ad spend for Q3 has tripled that of Q2 2008.
